My work in the Himalaya involves geographical research and the visual product often takes the form of a map. Julsun Pacheco is my colleague on these cartographic endeavors. He is a whiz on the computer and a genius when it comes to making electronic maps. This selection of maps was produced during a five-year project funded by the National Science Foundation and published in Illustrated Atlas of the Himalaya. We put the entire map series in the public domain, where it can be accessed from the Digital Himalaya Project, based at Yale University and University of Cambridge, on the following website.
